memphisto: Past the half-century mark and hurling along towards being a crotchety old man at warp factor ten. Far as I can tell, this is what it's all about. It isn't nice. It isn't pretty (well some of it is). And it's not going to enhance your precious self-image unless hearing the unvarnished truth and facing up to it makes you feel better about yourself. Live an unexamined life, you might as well be a cow.
